Who is the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition?

Our mission is to reverse the trend of mass incarceration in Colorado. We are a coalition of nearly 7,000 individual members and over 100 faith and community organizations who have united to stop perpetual prison expansion in Colorado through policy and sentence reform.

Our chief areas of interest include drug policy reform, women in prison, racial injustice, the impact of incarceration on children and families, the problems associated with re-entry and stopping the practice of using private prisons in our state.

Public Hearing Postponed on Medical Marijuana

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
MARCH 18, 2009 PUBLIC HEARING POSTPONED
The rulemaking hearing before the State Board of Health concerning proposed amendments to the Medical Marijuana Registry Program scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 1:15 p.m. is POSTPONED. The Board anticipates the hearing will be set in June 2009.
Due to significant public interest in the issue, the Board is seeking a larger venue to hold the hearing. Please watch this website for additional information on the rescheduled date, time and location.
The deadline for submitting written comments has been extended to Friday, May 15, 2009. If you have already provided written comments for the Board’s consideration, you need not resubmit them.
