On Wednesday, January 17, 2007, Colorado Department of Corrections transferred a second group of 240 people to Sayre, Oklahoma. Colorado’s state prisons are currently filled to capacity.
The North Fork Correctional Facility is located in Sayre, Oklahoma approximately 500 miles from Colorado Springs and is a private facility operated by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA)Read it here
