Jailer Released on Bond
ARAPAHOE COUNTY - Arrest affidavits from the Arapahoe County court say a jail employee who was suspended for bringing a knife into the jail and being in contact with a convicted felon, admitted to giving inmate Robert Ray personal food items during work hours.
In addition, the affidavit says Nicole Sue Beal received personal phone calls at home from Ray who called her "collect" from prison.
Beal worked in the maximum security section of the jail.
Ray is no longer in the jail, and was not in the jail when she brought in the knife. He is serving time at a state prison.
Beal is charged with introducing contraband, which is a first-degree class-four felony; and first degree official misconduct, a class two misdemeanor.
Ray was sentenced to 108 years in prison for his role in the July 4, 2004 killing of Gregory Vann at a park in Aurora. Additionally, he is charged with the death of a witness and his girlfriend in the July 4 case.
Beal has posted a $200,000 bond. Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson says he found out about the allegations on March 8 and Beal was suspended that day.
