Marijuana Farm In Jeffco
The Denver Post The West Metro Drug Task Force seized $500,000 worth of marijuana from what's being described as "an elaborate grow operation" in Golden Gate State Park in Jefferson County. Hunters wandered upon the plants on Colorado Division of Wildlife land Saturday, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department said. Law enforcement and employees of the Division of Wildlife and Colorado State Parks harvested more than 1,000 mature plants today, with a Colorado Air National Guard helicopter lifting the heavy bundles from the rugged, remote location. No one has been arrested, but detectives found evidence of a camp, including a tent, food, clothing, sleeping bags and other items.
