These stats show that the Governor's plan will be ignored by the Parole Board. The number of discrectionary paroles went up by a whooping 3 in September. DOC is also ignoring the legislature and keeping every single one of it's 6500 employees and quietly letting the state take on the burden of protecting it's citizens from felons in private prisones from Alaska and Arizona.mpc
This was more propoganda than anything in the first place. These are people who were already eligible for parole and should have been released prior to this. They are not letting anyone go who should not have already been released.
All of us at FVFI are really ticked off at all who are responsible for these stats which tell us, the governor's plan isnt being followed but ignored.
We also realize and demand that in addition to getting the early release program going that DOC, (ZAVARAS) needs to also start laying off an appropriate number of employee's. Its time to start listening to your leader, Governor Ritter whom we all support his decision for early release for, (NON VIOLENT OFFENDERS). DJW
