There definitely should be a change of leadership in her office as well as the Sheriff's office. I have a friend sitting in there jail, arrested on an old warrant from NY. The individual arrested did not come close to the description, yet they held her and were going to send her to NY with out making any phone calls nor attempting to verify wheather she was really the person named in the report. Family members had a local attorney make the calls to NY and guess what, a letter came from NY stating they did not want the lady being held by Chambers and the Sheriff. The lady sat in jail for a month or so. I think Chambers needs to compensate her. She lost her jobs, (she had two)as well as all the cost to family for time and phone charges to do the work that the sheriffs office should have done. My last complaint is why does it have to cost about three times more for an inmate to use a phone. Its always the relative on the outside that pays the atrocious bill! I resent it and want an explanation as to why they have to have that money.
Shoudent we the people expect a lot more proffesionalism from these elect officials??
