House Hopeful Has Felony Record
It's perfectly legal for him to run for office. He just can't get a job that won't hire felons.
FORT COLLINS — Court records show a Democrat who plans to run for the state House in Larimer County pleaded guilty to felony theft charges stemming from a check fraud case last year.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported today that Crusificio "Cross" Gambino was sentenced to three years of probation.
Gambino did not have a working phone number and no one answered the door at his home.
Gambino said Tuesday he wants to challenge Republican Don Marostica for a seat representing north Loveland and the southern edge of Fort Collins.
The Secretary of State's Office says Gambino can run for office despite the felony conviction.
