Proposed settlement in Masters suit reached - The Denver Post Larimer County Manager Frank Lancaster told the Fort Collins Coloradoan Thursday that commissioners will vote Tuesday on the proposed settlement with Timothy Masters. KCNC-TV also reported the proposed settlement. Officials say they can't release details of the settlement until it's final. Masters was convicted in 1999 in the murder of Peggy Hettrick in Fort Collins, but a judge overturned the conviction in 2008 after DNA evidence pointed toward another suspect. The case remains unsolved. Masters' lawsuit claims detectives and prosecutors maliciously targeted him and destroyed or withheld evidence that could have cleared him.

Its about time Tim gets some comensation, but what about all the misconduct by the authoritys, (DA's and Judges, Police Detective's ect). I think the public needs to demand they be fired and lose there pay back to the time of there wrongdoing.
Taxpayers shouldnt have to pay for those officials misconduct.
Until prosecuters are held accountable to the public, there will be no end to their deceit to the defendants. They have no definable limits on the charges they file, often filing excessively to make the defendant look incredibly guilty. WHERE is their accountability??
