Senate passes medical marijuana bill - The Denver Post The Senate voted 34-1 on Monday to back the measure, Senate Bill 109, and send it to the House. It would bar doctors from writing recommendations inside dispensaries that sell medical marijuana. It requires that doctors review a person's medical history and give them a full exam before recommending that they become a legal user of medical marijuana. Those between 18 and 21 would have to get the approval of two doctors, which is already required for patients under 18.
DENVER—The Senate has passed a bill preventing recreational pot users from skirting the law to obtain medical marijuana. The measure is now headed to the House.

Didnt the people vote for this law ?And if they did why dont the people get to vote to change it or leave it as is. If the state's senate does not aprove of the people's wish's maybe they should be representing people some where else that does not approve of medical cannabis .but since 85% of americans already approve of it they will probably have to go some where like iran or saudi arabia to find people who think the way they do about medical cannabis and the right of the people to decide whats best for them selves when it comes to medical decisions.But i guess thats to much freedom for one person to have at least according to the colorado state senate.
I am amazed at how fast they can get something like this done, but when it comes to something like sentence reform it takes years and committee after committee with no results.
